Today is Family day in my workplace. Anyway, this is a gimmick to attract new customers. Not only that, the staff was only told of this plan just a few days ago. Frankly speaking, I hate this type of working attitude. We should be informed of whatever she is cooking up earlier to make it successful. Her last-minute plans are always so flimsy (every single staff knows that), didn't even cover all the loopholes. Anyway i learnt a lot from her mistakes..haha...that is...
Refrain from doing last minute plans at all!!
As expected from her last minute plans, the place is chaotic!! haha you can practically see our hair are all in a mess..that's how chaotic it is! Oh ya, we are not allowed to go out for lunch, the company will provide. If we get caught going out to lunch, die loh.The staff lunch provided was so pathetic..not enough to keep everyone full. we are not happy!!
I was having 6 classes continuously for the whole day. No break at all. This is the same for the other staff. By the time I came out from my classes in the middle of the day for a mini break...the food provided for the new customers were gone. The catering table was so small...the size of my studying table in my room...which is very small. I heard that most of the existing customers ate up the food instead of the new customers. No wonder the food was gone so fast. haha it is impossible to stop the existing customers from eating right? Makes no sense loh...they paid so much money and told not to eat that? See loh, another problem she failed to think about.
Wah, saw a famous actress at my work place, perhaps accompanying her grandchildren to look at the company. My fellow buddies didn't notice her. Heez i guess i have a knack at spotting celebrities in daily situations...me usually one of the first to spot.
I experienced a shocking happening from boss. I was in one of the rooms helping out with aunt and she needed matchsticks to teach the kids. ( There was a thinking problem about matchsticks.) So I thought of going to the "temporarily no entry" classroom to look for the matchsticks. When I opened the door, the boss was in there staring at me, right behind the door. Ahhh!! I jumped up. The face is enough to scare anyone. Honest...really!! My fellow buddies told me before of the time when it was late at night and there weren't any lights along the corridor. And they saw her walking in front of them...they said it was so scary because of the long hair and the way she walked. Wah thank goodness she didn't turn around...i think i will faint haha. Back to the situation, hmm, i have a feeling that her mind is not right at the moment..because she started asking nonsensical questions and searching for something that doesn't exist in the room. When I went back to Aunt's room, my heart was beating very fast till I couldn't say a word...i felt as though my soul flew off and haven't come back.
During the trial classes, parents kept peeking in..no teacher can stand it loh.Sigh...no peace. It is so obvious of the peeking..cause they practically stuck their heads through the gaps of the door. (=____________=)
I felt unwell again...haven't recover yet from my sickness. (>_<) dizziness coming back~~
thanks for the concern !
There was one particular incident that was so cute. haha teaching the toddlers to use their imagination and form a picture using the cut up shapes of squares, circles and triangles. A kid did his picture with a very abstract taste...and i asked him.."what is the title of your picture?" And you know what he said? He said: "this is called rubbish. " When his mother heard it, she was laughing very hard. So cute!!
I was only told that i have been to be at the Pasir Ris roadshow tomorrow. Then what about my classes? I got so fed up...what is going to happen for my classes? Huh..has she ever thought of that? Her plan was for me to go to Pasir Ris in the morning and then afternoon, rush back to teach my classes. What is this nonsense??!! Sorry, i am just very angry with her planning. She dind't consider that i have to travel from jurong all the way to Pasir Ris and then rush back to Orchard to teach. It is like nearly going one round of Singapore.
Thank goodness, the understanding programme consultants explained to her that this is not feasible. Whew...my friend offered to go to the roadshow because she lives near pasir ris and she is always have half day work on sunday. Luckily, i was complaining to her about this, if not, i would have to go to Pasir Ris. And i really really really want to recover from my illness..and the way boss is doing it, i doubt i can ever recover. So conclusion-wise, i just had to teach my friend's classes for tomorrow only.
Sun 17 Aug
In the afternoon, I was on my way to the office from my class. A parent approached me and handed me the newspaper articles, they said they were looking for the venue of the seminar. I was very surprised because none of the staff know that the Family day was extended to Sunday too. Hmm..didn't even know how to answer the parents. So I left the case to one of the programme consultants.
We were all getting fed up..they put 9 kids in a class...and most of them are trial kids!!Crazy loh...
The so-called policy of the company is to have 8 as the maximum number of children in the class. Excuse me, they have exceeded le. How do we answer the parents when we kept giving empty promises?
i am glad that my kids are having a great time with me...let's work hard together!! GH was very amused of the way i talked to the children...haha
A girl wanted to tell me a secret but she forgot to talk about it after the class. haha
