fri 5 june~
1st day at work~
Reporting work at 9.30am..i reached there slightly early...oo there is a direct bus from my house to the workplace...so convenient for me, don't want to squeeze with the morning crowd at the mrt stations.
Friends have been asking me what i am working as. Okay, I am working as a teacher in this Japanese company, which aims to nurture the right brain of children. This society is more of a left-brain environment (majority uses right hand to write). So if we develop right brain to be of same standard as left brain ability, and learn how to coordinate left and right brain, then we can become geniuses(utilise both brains mah, utilise more brain capacity)!! This company teaches 0-12 years old, even providing pre-natal education. For the newbies teachers, we will be teaching 2-3 years old groups and 4-6 years old groups. I am working in Orchard, near Takashimaya. haha can't tell you the direct location....later people following me..very scary leh. Throughout my life, people tend to follow me everywhere i go...terrifying..haha
So, get a clearer picture of what my job is?? haha
I had no idea that my new friend is joining me today because she already told them she will start work at a later date. The senior teacher was in charge of training the newbies-that's me. My friend (PS) reached later, she tried to contact me but my hp wasn't with me. She joined me at a later time.
There are a lot of things to remember, mainly the procedures done during the beginning of a class. hmm..we must remember 5 steps as a routine for every lesson, then classwork and lastly homework. After the briefing, the 3 of us (newbies) were left to practice on our own. Embarassing..i did a lot of mistakes..feel like digging a hole and hide in there..haha plus i wasn't feeling very well that day, very dizzy.
Today, all of us were chosen to sit in different classes to see how the classes are conducted. I went to the 2-3 age group and the little kids were so cute!! haha the little boy was so shy because he didn't see me before...so he was tugging his hair and didn't answer questions.haha he was so cute when he did his deep breathing exercise...heez they were all smart..with good memory!! Hmm..i noticed a trend here- the little girls tend to be more outspoken and fast in their work. the little boys are shy when they see strangers.
I attended one class only..then i spend the rest of the time practicing the procedures with other newbies.. haha at the same time, bonding session with the newbies.
today is kinda slow moving but we need some time to adapt to the environment here...(^_^)
